Saw (500) Days of Summer yesterday and loved it. Sooo here's my summary. This is meant to be funny, not dissing any part of the movie at all, although at times I thought the characters' attitudes were stupid.
Actually I don`t think any of them did anything wrong. She was completely honest and upfront with him. She told him it wasn't serious. He fell in love with her, but she couldn't force herself to love him. He knew she didn't want anything serious, so it's all on him that he continued. It also wasn't his fault that he loved her. I guess they were trying to show it from a guy's perspective, which is awesome, and that someone doesn't always have to be in the wrong. Also the movie was so artistically shot. I loved it!
Summer told Tom how she felt....maybe its just because i can relate to Tom and Summer. I know what its like to be head over heels and the person doesnt feel the same....but i also know what its like to care for a person but struggle with how big my feelings are. What summer says hits me all the time when she tells tom he was right about love, it just wasn't her he was right about. It's not a fairytale, but its a story about love and growth.
Cute, hilarious, and wonderfully drawn.
